The Folly Nursery and Pre-School stands on the edge of the village of Ilton in the beautiful South Somerset countryside.

The Folly Nursery and Pre-School caters for children ranging in age from very young babies, right up to primary school age.

All Folly children can stay for anything from 2 days a week to 5 full days, with all the meals provided.

The children work and play together amidst colourful, airy and adaptable surroundings in a happy, relaxed and positive atmosphere in which encouragement abounds. The experiences provided for each individual are stimulating, challenging, absorbing and satisfying, allowing for every aspect of development and natural progression through the various strands of the "Early Years Foundation Stage" curriculum.

At The Folly Nursery and Pre-school we recognise that every child is a supremely competent learner who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured, given the right environment. We recognise that children develop in individual ways at varying rates. Children's attitudes and dispositions to learning are influenced by feedback from others. We therefore use praise and encouragement, as well as celebrating and sharing special times and rewards to encourage children to develop a positive attitude to learning.

Whilst each child is treated as an individual when it comes to their learning, our higher-level values mean that all children are treated fairly regardless of race, religion or abilities. All children and their families are valued equally within our nursery and Pre-School community.

The children are supervised and taught by dedicated, enthusiastic and exceptionally qualified staff, in spacious and well equipped rooms. This all combines to help us provide your son or daughter with the best start to an education of the very highest standard.
