Under 2's: (Babies and toddlers up to 2 years)

It’s in our “Under 2's room” that babies and toddlers, learn and develop. Nurtured in a safe, secure, indoor and outdoor environment, your son or daughter can grow in confidence as they venture on these early stages of their development

What does this mean for your son or daughter?

All our children follow the “Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum”; guiding them through the 7 vital areas of learning:

Prime Areas

• Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• Physical Development
• Communication and Language

Specific Areas

• Expressive Arts and Design
• Literacy
• Understanding the World
• Mathematics

The 3 prime area are equally important and interdependent, and are supported and implemented using the 4 specific areas, through a balance of adult led and child initiated activities. Our Ladybirds particularly concentrate on the 3 Prime areas for their learning at their young age.

In the Ladybird Room each child has their own personal space, where all their special things are kept. Your child willbe given three yummy meals a day whilst with us that will be suitable for their current stage of weening.
